Strange angels. Sculptor - Boris Sergeev. Though the angel has to be strange, otherwise nobody will believe that it’s an angel. The official (and correct) treatment of this sight – is that angels stand there in memory of three churches which were nearby - Ivan Predtecha, St. Alexander Nevsky at Synod school and Preobrazheniya Gospodnya churches. Monuments to churches is very sore and very Russian subject. Probably, nowhere in the world but in Russia so many temples, churches, synagogues, mosques were destroyed over such a short period of time. And thanks to the people who care and are willing to share their concern.

— Кстати, здания, где находились эти церкви, можно и сейчас опознать: стрельчатые окна, "неправильный" вид крыш...

— Глубоко убежден: о Храмах надо не вспоминать, а восстанавливать. Ничего не могут изменить странные миниатюры с крыльями, и ни на кого не повлияют. Так не имеют влияния пни, оставшиеся на месте срубленных вековых дубов!

— Ну все-таки часто большое и вековое начинается с малого и сегодняшнего. А что-то уже невозможно восстановить, потому что восстановленное будет новым. А памятник - он всегда только памятник, он напоминание, а не замена ушедшему.
