A Great Pulkovskii Radio Telescope is a first telescope with variable-profile antenna in the world. It’s designated to watch the Sun. 120 meter mirror of the GPRT consists of 90 plane blast shields, each 3x1.5 meters in size, and a feed element. The shields are situated in half circle, so that they could be turned to correspond the season. The telescope is still used to watch the sun activity. The data are collected to study the change in sun activity and forecast the activity.

How to reach: from Moskovskaya metro station by minibus taxi 100.
