The sculpture Madame Butterfly (also known under the name of Chio-Chio San) is installed in the courtyard of Saint Petersburg State University on May 23rd, 2003. It was created by Albert Avetisyan, the father of another famous sculptor Arsen Avetisyan whose works can also be found in the same courtyard (“Thinking about Little Prince”, “Cigarette break” and others).
