This monument used to be situated on a lamp post. The tragedy took place on the 21st of March, 1991. Two little boys were walking on ice and fell into the ice water. They couldn’t get out of the water themselves. To their luck Alexandr Petrovich Rozhnov was driving by. Without thinking he threw into the water and saved them at the cost of his own life. That same day they fixed a carton bar to the lamp post in memory of this feat. Now it’s a granite memorial stone on the parapet.

Address: Novosmolenskaya embankment.

How to reach: from Primorskaya metro station 5 min on foot.

— У него было не 2 а 4 ребенка.... Я и мой старший брат тоже в этот день потеряли отца.....только нам было уже 16 и 18 лет(((
