This little stone is hardly noticeable. It is devoted to the soldiers of 6th squadron, killed in action near Ulus-Kert in 2000. They picked a losing fight and have prevented the breakthrough of 2,5 thousand fighters of Hattab. Official monuments were established in Pskov and Moscow and in our city only a popular one is established for the time being by efforts of veterans of 104th Gvardeysky Chernigovsky Krasnoznamenny air-landing regiment. In shells - the remains of the burned candles. On medallions – the names of victims. Here is an extract from the text: "... We want to memorialize the feat of the 6th squadron, all of them were ordinary guys with the same desire to live, apparently the death is a part of life; any of us could have been there..."

Address: Dobrovoltsev (Volunteers) Street, wasteland between houses 16 and 26..

How to reach: Turn from Veteranov Prospect to Dobrovoltsev Street. After the house 26 a small wasteland begins. There next to sidewalk you'll find the monument.

Это действительно странно, что памятник такой... неофициальный.

Видимо нужно, чтобы прошло ещё время, чтобы памятник 6-й роте установили волею администрации. Памятник погибшим в Афганской войне (что на пересечении ул.Бухарестской и пр.Славы), например, установили в 1998 году, спустя 9 лет после окончания войны.
