A monument to the Holocaust victims
City: Saint-Petersburg.
In 1991 in a small park in front of Alexandrovskii palace the monument “Formula of Grief” was established. A mourning figure bent over a red lake. It’s not an abstract monument, but a monument to the victims of Pushkin town ghetto. Think about it – a ghetto in 3 km from the battle line and in 20 km from Leningrad. In summer 1942 Pushkins population was about 50000 and in January 1944 only 250 persons.
