Old ships parade

I’ve read some descriptions like “Alye parusa” (“Scarlet sails”) and decided to add this article dedicated to Town Day 2011. Saint Petersburg is a marine city and ships are its part, that’s why no one can be surprised by the ships cruising down the Neva river. By this photos I’d like to attract the attention not to the ships but to the problem of national history preservation in techniques. All the old ships participating in the parade were in excellent condition but there was no Russian one! We can’t save the history we’ll never have enough money for it. But there’s no future without the past.

How to reach: from Gorkovskaya metro station 10 min on foot.
