Beer restaurant “Karl and Friedrich” website assures that during its building on Krestovskiy island they found a foundation stone with the note "Hie domini MDCCXXIV iussu imperatoris Russiae Petri I prima bracina Petropolitana est.", i.e. “Here in 1724 by Peter the First’s command the first Russian brewery was founded”. — И всё же камень похож на новодел. Но то, что пивоварню там основали охотно верится.
