This building passed through lots of different events and most important ones are featured in memorial plaques. The first plaque says it was the first special shelter for JeDePom, built 200 years ago. JeDePom is an ancient handball game, the ancestor of tennis, basketball, squash, etc. The second plaque witnesses one memorable event: At the meeting of Russian physical-chemical institute in 1896 professor Popov received here the first radiogram in the world. It consisted of two words: “Henry Hertz”.
