Hurry up to the garden everyone! Listen to the bagpipe, and not only.
St. Petersburgian festival of noncommercial music “Volynshchik” (which means “Bagpiper”) has been held since 1996, and this year for the 13th time will open on Yelagin island, on the stairs of Yelagin Palace-museum, on July, 18-19 (begins at 13.00).
During the first day you can hear and see the traditional folk bands. On Sunday there perform bands, relating to folk-rock, art-rock, acoustic rock, there’re both well-known popular bands and new ones. I can easily surf the internet for additional information about the history of the festival.
If you haven’t gone out of the city or to your dachas for the weekend, hurry up to the Central Park of culture and Rest, Yelagin island. There’s a perfect pastime for the parents with kids.
