This is the first one of the four monuments erected on Pionerskaya street in 1972 to the 50th anniversary of the Pioneer organization. The monument is typical for the Soviet constructivism, efficiency and harmony. It has everything it needs and nothing it doesn’t. It looks very inexpensive but having a meaning (instead of many other modern monuments). It is made of concrete blocks, but there is also a laconic sculpture. It is interesting that the monument to the organization named after Lenin goes without the monument to Lenin, but his name is mentioned twice and there is his image on the monument!
The height of the monument is about 7 meters.
The authors of the memorial’s general composition are architects A. D. Levenkov, P. I. Melnikov, the authors of the project are architect P. I. Melnikov, sculptor B. A. Plenkin and designer V. S. Telesh.
It is said that when the monument was laid it was provided, either inside or nearby, with a capsule containing a message to the future pioneers, that they should unseal in 2022 (to the 100th anniversary of the organization!).
Address: 2 Pionerskaya street.
How to reach: from Sportivnaya metro station on foot around 10-15 min. along Bolshoy prospect till the intersection with Pionerskaya street. Then go to the right as far as the intersection with Bolshaya Pushkarskaya street (on the even side).

— Секрет заключается в спрятанном послании к пионерам 2022 года! Не понятно, только, где конкретно оно спрятано.

— Dunaeww. Очень сомневаюсь, что это памятник ордену Ленина. Это памятник в честь 50-ти летия пионерской организации, которая была награждена орденом Ленина.
Я не буду дискутировать по поводу неформальности памятника, но название ИМХО нужно исправить.

— ПАВ, вы, конечно, правы, данный памятник был установлен именно в честь 50-летия пионерской организации имени Ленина, ордена Ленина! Но это название поста - я так придумал это название. Так интересно звучит, да и маркетинговая политика работает! Вы же тоже выкладываете примечательности типа "Светофор-сердечко". Но по сути это немного подпорченный светофор! Согласитесь, что название и суть примечательности могут несколько отличаться! А указывать автору, как следует изменить название его творчества не следует! Поэтому, поддерживаю вашу идею по данному вопросу не дискутировать!
