Not many people are aware of the fact that popular Vsevolod Bobrov grew up in the town of Sestroretsk. He used to live with his family in house 3, 1st of May Street.
In 1937 Bobrov passed the exams and entered Factory College at the Sestroretsk Instrumental Factory of Voskov. After graduating from there he found a job of a metalworker on the factory. From 12 years old Vsevolod played for school football and hockey teams. In 1939 he started playing Russian hockey (bandy) in the first male team of the Voskov factory.
The list of Vsevolod’s rewards is highly impressive: he’s the honored trainer of USSR, the Honoured Master of Sports. He was a champion of USSR many times, the World Champion in 1954, 1956, the Europe Champion in 1954-56. He was also the Winter Olympics Champion in 1956. He’s been the only captain of both football and hockey teams within the whole history of Soviet sport.
