The monument to the died in World War Two teachers and the students of the Leningrad Medical Institute of Sanitary and Hygiene was installed in the yard of the Mechnikov hospital’s admissions office. The monument represents a stele of two cubic structures with the words "the eternal memory and honor to the employees and students of LSGMI" and the dates "1941 - 1945". Small sculptural groups are allocated in the round niches of the top part. The monument was created by architect Y. N. Lukin and sculptor N. A. Aliev and was opened in 1985.

Address: 47 Piskarevsky prospect.

How to reach: Railway Station Piskarevka. Buses 178, 102, 107.
