On the bank of Razliv lake, near Sestroretsk, in the summer of 1917 V. I. Lenin and later on his comrade Zinoviev were hiding from the authorities. Disguised as the Finnish mowers, they lived in a tent put on a glade. Here Lenin began his work on the book «The State and the Revolution» (1918). Lenin and Zinoviev remained on the bank of Razliv lake till August, 8th, 1917 and then moved to Finland.
In 1928 on the initiative of workers of Leningrad the monument under the project of architect A. I. Gegello was placed here. In 1970 at the turn from Primorskoe highway to the road leading to a museum the sculpture «Lenin in Razliv» (V. B. Pinchuk's work) was placed. In 1969, nearby the tent, an exhibition pavilion was opened. Now it is completely refitted and on July, 26th, 2006 a new exposition «From Spring to Autumn of 1917 (a Historical Drama) » started in the pavilion.
The tent is renovated every year, but after several vandal attacks it was fenced. In winter time a quite good skating rink is opened at the bus stop. Skis and the Finnish sledge hire service operates here.
Address: Razliv, Sestroretsk.
