This place at the crossing of Lenina and Pushkarskaya streets is usually called Matveevskiy garden. The garden exists as well as memorial signs, located at the feet of the destroyed Saint Mathew’s cathedral. According to the explanatory note there was the first building of Saint Mathew’s cathedral built in 1703 on the territory of Petropavlovskaya fortress and moved here in 1719. The most famous churchwoman of this cathedral was Ksenia Peterburzhskaya. The cathedral was demolished in 1932.
